I really enjoyed my day in the company of Marysia, Roberto and William along with the Lord Mayor of Nottingham, Cllr Dave Trimble who kindly escorted us around Nottingham Castle. My thanks also to the generous hospitality of Solman Nouman at the Castle. On the day I had a really good experience and the venue had some interesting exhibits, particularly the ones chronicling some of Nottingham's lace and textiles history.
It was particularly great to meet Roberto Alborghetti for the first time in three years owing to the pandemic - having seen his Ghost Bus presentation and conversation previously at The Garage, Chilwell in June 2019 - and get to see some of his more recent pieces, which he'd gifted to Dave and Solman.
Also enjoyed talking to William Ranieri and having some great discussions about his role working as a journalist and videographer for a local television station in Brighton as well as discussing the city's vibrant local arts scene.
